Dog grooming packages and plans in Woodside, NY

A plan is not compulsory, and about half our clients never sign up for one. What follows is what each plan actually includes, who it genuinely suits, and the honest arithmetic on when it saves you money — and when it does not.

Three ways to pay

Pay as you go, or let a plan spread it for you

The default is pay as you go, and it is what about half our clients use. The Regular and The Full Coat below exist for owners who would rather one small, predictable payment than a bigger one every few weeks.

Pay as you go

No feebook when you need it

The default, and what about half our clients use. Book when you need it, pay for what you get, nothing recurring and nothing to cancel.

  • A firm price agreed before anything starts
  • Nails, ears and a sanitary tidy included in every groom
  • A free nail check any time we are open
  • The same groomer every visit wherever the book allows
  • No charge to come in and have a coat looked at

Best for: One easy-coated dog, and no wish to be signed up to anything.

The Full Coat

$34a month, one pet

The plan for a coat that genuinely needs a groomer every three or four weeks. It costs less than the same visits bought one at a time, and it is the single most reliable way never to have the shave-down conversation.

  • Everything in The Regular
  • 15% off every full groom rather than 10%
  • One de-shedding treatment included each season
  • Free de-matting time, up to the 30-minute policy limit
  • A written coat plan, reviewed with you twice a year
  • A brush-and-comb lesson at home pace, once a year, at no charge

Best for: Doodles, double coats, and anything that mats if you look away for a fortnight.

Which plan actually fits

  • Pay as you go — no plan at all

The default, and roughly half our clients never sign up for anything more. You book when the coat needs it, pay the number on the price list for that visit, and there is nothing to think about between appointments beyond noticing when your dog needs one. It suits an easy-coated dog on a long, forgiving interval, an owner who is not sure yet how often their particular dog will actually need grooming, and anybody who would rather not be signed up to a recurring payment at all.

  • The Regular — for a dog on a six to eight week rhythm

Built for a coat that already comes in every six to eight weeks, whatever the reason — a schnauzer that needs the jacket kept tidy, a spaniel whose ears mat if left too long, a dog whose owner has simply decided a groomed dog is a happier one. At $18 a month it holds your slot on the same day and time all year, fixes the price for twelve months, and gives you 10% off every full groom plus free nail trims, ear cleaning and sanitary tidies between visits. It is not built for a dog on a bath-and-brush-only routine, and it is not for a coat that genuinely goes eight to twelve weeks between visits — the arithmetic below explains why.

  • The Full Coat — for a dog on a three to four week rhythm

This is the plan for a coat that mats if you look away: doodles, curly crosses, anything double-coated and shedding hard twice a year. At $34 a month it includes everything in The Regular, 15% off instead of 10%, one de-shedding treatment included each season, free de-matting time up to the thirty-minute policy limit, and a written coat plan reviewed with you twice a year. It is not for a dog whose coat naturally goes eight to twelve weeks between visits — you would be paying for a rhythm your dog is not actually on, and The Regular or pay as you go will suit you better.

An honest worked example

The Regular: does the arithmetic actually work?

Take a medium dog on a six week full-groom cycle, counting only what the plan actually changes.

  • Nine medium full grooms a year at $105 each, paid one at a time: $945.
  • The same nine grooms at 10% off under The Regular: $850.50 — a saving of $94.50.
  • The plan itself costs $216 a year (12 payments of $18), so the discount alone leaves you about $121.50 short of covering it.
  • What closes the gap is the free interim visits members actually use because they cost nothing: a handful of nail trims at $20 each, the odd ear clean and sanitary tidy at $15 to $20 apiece.

Used moderately, that comes out close to even across the year — not a windfall, but not a loss either — with a held slot, a fixed price for twelve months and priority on cancellations thrown in. A dog that is never brought in for those free extras will not recoup the membership from the discount alone, and we would rather tell you that than have you assume otherwise.

An honest worked example

The Full Coat: does the arithmetic actually work?

Take a large doodle on a four week cycle, again counting only what changes.

  • Thirteen large full grooms a year at $135 each, paid one at a time: $1,755.
  • The same thirteen grooms at 15% off under The Full Coat: $1,491.75 — a saving of $263.25.
  • The plan costs $408 a year (12 payments of $34), so the discount alone still leaves a shortfall of about $145.
  • One de-shedding treatment included each season closes most of that gap on its own — at up to $55 for a large dog, four seasonal treatments are worth up to $220.

Add the free de-matting time and the twice-yearly coat plan review on top, and a doodle actually kept on a four week rhythm comes out ahead across the year. A doodle that is allowed to slip to six or eight weeks between visits will not get there, because the plan is priced for the faster rhythm, not the slower one it is sometimes used to excuse.

Leaving a plan

Cancelling is simple

Call or message the desk and tell us to stop. There is no notice period and no cancellation fee — cover simply ends on your next billing date, and nothing you have already used against the plan is clawed back. If you have had more in services than you have paid in across the life of the plan, that is our risk to carry, not yours to make good.

Questions

Plans — the questions we are asked most

What is the difference between The Regular and The Full Coat?

The Regular is built for a coat on a six to eight week haircut cycle: 10% off every full groom, a held appointment slot, and free nail trims, ear cleaning and a sanitary tidy between visits, for $18 a month. The Full Coat is built for a coat that genuinely needs a groomer every three to four weeks — doodles, double coats, anything that mats if you look away for a fortnight — at $34 a month, with 15% off instead of 10%, a seasonal de-shed included, free de-matting time, and a written coat plan reviewed twice a year.

Do I actually save money by joining a plan?

Only if your dog comes in on roughly the interval the plan assumes. The discount alone rarely covers the monthly fee by itself — see the worked examples below — what closes the gap is the free interim visits members actually use because they cost nothing. A dog that skips appointments, or an owner who would not otherwise pay for the free extras, is very unlikely to come out ahead.

What if my dog does not need grooming as often as the plan assumes?

Then a plan is very likely to cost you more than paying as you go, and we will tell you that plainly if you ask. Both plans are built around a specific rhythm — six to eight weeks for The Regular, three to four for The Full Coat — and a dog on a longer, easier cycle should stay on pay as you go.

Can I put more than one pet on a plan?

Yes, but each pet needs its own plan — there is no household discount beyond what each individual plan already includes, because the monthly price already assumes ordinary use for one animal.

Is there a contract or a sign-up fee?

No. You pay monthly, the price is fixed for twelve months from the day you join, and there is no separate fee to sign up. Cancel any time, with no notice period.

How do I cancel?

Call or message the desk and tell us to stop. Cover ends on your next billing date, there is no notice period and no cancellation fee, and nothing already used against the plan is clawed back.

Can I move from The Regular to The Full Coat, or back again?

Yes, whenever your dog's coat or your circumstances change. Ask at any visit or call the desk and we will switch you from your next billing date rather than mid-month.

Which plan should I choose if I am not sure?

Pay as you go, honestly — it is what about half our clients use, and there is nothing to cancel later if it turns out not to suit you. Tell us your dog's coat type and how often it is actually groomed and we will tell you plainly whether either plan's arithmetic would work in your favour.

No pressure either way

Ask us to run the numbers for your dog

Tell us the coat type and how often it is actually groomed, and we will tell you honestly whether a plan would save you money this year, or whether pay as you go is the better fit.
